Where Visitors Meet Our Artists for the First Time
Our city’s rich arts culture explains our life and our people more than mere words ever could. In that way, the artworks on display throughout Convention Authority properties are an entryway to our community for those who are just learning what makes Columbus a great place to visit, work and live.
The Convention Authority owns the largest contemporary collection of local art and displays the largest collection of art within any U.S. Convention center. We proudly exhibit those pieces in the Greater Columbus Convention Center, the Hilton Columbus Downtown and our four parking garages. This magnificent gallery represents an investment of $5.7 million. It is the result of a communitywide call for art, overseen by a committee consisting of Convention Authority Board member Barbara Nicholson, Columbus Museum of Art Executive Director Nannette V. Maciejunes, artist David Barker, philanthropist and arts activist DeeDee Glimcher and collection curators James and Michael Reese of Reese Brothers Productions.
Our 275-plus artists represent the diversity of our community, cutting across age, gender and race. If you haven’t met them previously, meet them for the first time on these pages or on our Instagram @FCCFA.art. Then, visit our facilities on your own or schedule a tour to see their work firsthand.
