What is Left Behind?
I have embroidered for well over fifty years, making stories and pictures with floss and fabric. It’s a wonderful habit to have, portable, and full of tension, and color. I am also learning to draw and paint.
My embroidery pieces are stories I tell myself to slow down and to pay attention. The sound and feeling of the needle and thread slipping through the cloth in the hoop, soothes me, and for a while, my anxiety, fear, and sadness evaporate with every stitch.
