Succulent Color Field
The ability for glass to be transformative is why it has fascinated humans for centuries, for this work I rely on that quality and also on my observations of nature. I have a particular interest in how simple shapes are seen throughout our environment in a variety of ways. The accents of small glass bits emerging from the beautiful color field of the larger smooth glass form are meant to replicate the tentacles of a sea anemone, the plump leaves of a succulent, or the gathering of cells viewed under a microscope.
