Columbus and Greater Columbus Convention Center Take Center Stage in Facilities & Destinations

Columbus and the Greater Columbus Convention Center are in the national spotlight in the 2026 Facilities & Destinations SuperBook, with a six-page cover story highlighting the people, partnerships and investments shaping the future of the region’s meetings and visitor economy.

Titled “At the ‘Heart of It All’: Columbus, Ohio and the Greater Columbus Convention Center are making an already great meetings destination even greater!”, the feature showcases the momentum underway across Columbus and the FCCFA campus.

Among the initiatives highlighted is the FCCFA’s comprehensive campus master plan, which will help guide decisions involving the Greater Columbus Convention Center, Hilton Columbus Downtown, Nationwide Arena, parking facilities and FCCFA-owned property. The planning process will look ahead five to 15 years, with a focus on connectivity, the guest experience, public spaces and the evolving needs of the meetings and conventions industry.

The article also explores the FCCFA’s new partnership with TourismOhio, which brings the Ohio, The Heart of It All brand to life throughout the Convention Center through immersive displays, destination-focused storytelling and the newly named Heart of It All Ballroom.

A Q&A features Ken Paul, Executive Director of the Franklin County Convention Facilities Authority; Dean Dennis, General Manager of the Greater Columbus Convention Center; and Brian Ross, President & CEO of Experience Columbus, who share their perspectives on what’s ahead for the Convention Center and Columbus as a meetings destination.

The feature looks beyond the Convention Center as well, highlighting major investments across the destination, including the new terminal underway at John Glenn Columbus International Airport, The Merchant Building and its new luxury hotel adjacent to North Market, and Columbus’ growing lineup of major conventions and sporting events.

Dennis perhaps sums up the destination’s appeal best, pointing to the combination of meeting space, hotels, airlift and entertainment and restaurants—and noting that Columbus “has it all.”
