Nationwide Arena Featured on 10TV’s “Boomtown”
Nationwide Arena was recently featured on 10TV, part of the outlet’s “Boomtown” segment, as the Franklin County Convention Facilities Authority (FCCFA) is exploring a potential $400 million renovation and modernization of the venue that is set to celebrate its 25-year anniversary.
The reinvestment will enhance the fan experience and help Columbus continue to attract major events, ensuring the city remains a premier sports and entertainment destination. Initial improvements will focus on critical infrastructure, including a new roof, HVAC systems, and upgrades to safety and accessibility. The phased improvements will likely include improved concessions, restrooms, technology, digital signage, flexible seating, and new escalators and elevators. The phased modernization will also improve venue entry, expand food and beverage options, and optimize space to further enhance the fan experience.
The FCCFA is advocating for increased investment in the publicly owned Nationwide Arena, not only to compete for major sports and entertainment events, but also to maintain the Arena’s role as a key driver of economic development and to solidify its position as the premier attraction for residents and visitors in the heart of the thriving Arena District.
