Painting the Town
Prisca is a self-taught artist who creates art as a way to escape her abusive early home circumstances and the traumas that have affected her life “Art kept me alive! I was four years old when I started drawing a painting. I drew mountains because they seemed peaceful and safe. I wanted to go there to be safe.” After the death of her son, She went back into creating art to help her deal with his loss. “I miss him and he always appreciated my art. My continuation of my artwork in the abstract geometric symmetry and creating pieces is how I stay connected to him. I am a damaged person who is a very much safer and in a happy place, however through the grace of God and a wonderful therapist, I am better and continue to create art to make me better.”
